Korean Wheelchair Basketball League
More Than Just a Sport
Wheelchair basketball is more than a game. It represents strength, skill, resilience, and teamwork. In Korea, the Korea Wheelchair Basketball League (KWBL) plays a central role in supporting this sport and creating opportunities for athletes with disabilities to compete at a professional level. Beyond the court, KWBL helps raise public awareness about adaptive sports and fosters a culture of inclusion across the country.

Why It Matters

Volunteering at or attending a KWBL match is about more than watching basketball — it’s about celebrating inclusion and resilience. Each game is filled with determination, teamwork, and the joy of competition. Supporting KWBL also supports a larger mission: building a community that embraces diversity and respects the strength of every individual.
The Spiritus team believes that by learning about and supporting adaptive sports like wheelchair basketball, we can contribute to a society where everyone has the chance to compete, connect, and inspire — both on and off the court.
