Spiritus: Eco Guardian of Sanbang-san ro 2

Today, July 27, we were back to do volunteer work at the beach on Sandbang-san-ro. The rainy season ended, and the beach was filled with damp trash. Picking up soggy paper and heavy plastic bags was hard, but by helping each other, we gradually transformed the beach. The sky was clear, and the warm sunlight made it a good day for the activity.
We collected the following:

  • General trash: 15 pieces
  • Plastic cups: 20
  • Cans: 5
  • Cigarette butts: about 30

One memorable moment was when a stray cat stood at the corner, watching us for a long time. Its curious eyes seemed almost like a silent cheer, giving us strength. When we looked back after finishing, the once dirty street was noticeably cleaner. It wasn’t just about appearance—it was the realization that our efforts truly make a difference. This experience reminded me that the joy and value of volunteering go beyond simply removing waste.

After the supporters’ activity, we wished to bring out parents to this beach to enjoy the sunlight and the sound of the waves. We all acknowledged that they would be proud of our geo-supporters’ activity.
